So ive installed a cheap b and m laminate floor in the kitchen. It's a 7mm board with underlay. Since this is the first time I've I stalled laminate, I'm not sure of a few things:

1) despite the instructions stating, is there meant to be a 10mm gap round the perimeter of the floor?

2) the click lock system isn't as "click" so to speak. Should I use glue in places I suspect of weak fitting?

3) the boarss are curled up around the edges, is there something I can do to make them weighted?

1) The 10mm, is to allow the laminate to expand. You can either fit quadrant to cover the gap, remove the skirting and refit a little higher, or undercut the skirting, to allow the laminate to sit under it, but still with space to move.

2) It should slot together, with the last section held up, then pressed/snapped into place.

3) There should be no curling edges, unless the tongue/groove is damaged.

Thanks for the reply. Some really good suggestions thanks. The skirting idea is what I will do next time. The ends of the board are curling up, they are clicked in though.
