I was cleaning the dishwasher yesterday

I took out all the mesh filters in the bottom and was cleaning them in the sink

While I was doing this I put the dishwasher on a hot wash whule it was empty

After some time my RCD circuit breaker tripped

I opened the dishwasher and it was full of hot water in the bottom

I then thought maybe it was something to do with the filters being left out

I put the clean filters back in and the dishwasher finished its cycle ok

I ran it again on a full cycle empty just to check and it was fine

A few hours later I filled it full of dishes and put it on a full cycle. The machine hadn't finished when I went to bed but I woke up this morning and the RCD had tripped again. The dishwasher looked like it had finished its cycle. I also think it finished as my mobile phone was fully charged and that takes 3 hours, I put it on to charge when I went to bed.

I tried the dishwasher this morning and I think its blown the fuse in the plug

Its a Bosch Exxcel

Don't think it has much to do with your filters....There is an earth fault someplace, most likely on the heater element (but it could also be another component). You need to track it down, do you have access to any test instruments? Post the "E-number" if you need further info, it is laser engraved on the door lip.
