My sisters house is fitted with an Ideal Classic boiler and a Danfoss Y-Plan. In order to get hot water she has to switch the CH on. I changed the actuator on the 3 port valve which made no difference. The boiler will only fire up when the CH is on. Any ideas?

If the programmer was set to gravity,what difference would that make?
You would not get C/H without H/W!
well it isn't the 3 port or cylinder stat.

Danfoss HSV3 (I think) with HSA3 actuator. Valve can be operated manually but boiler won't fire up with it set to auto with the DHW switched on on it's own.
can you use a multi meter ?
I can if I'm told exactly what to do with it!
