Hi,

Looking for some thoughts before I get plumber in for their advice.

Recently change the lay out of the lounge and as TV is now in front the radiator, I am not using that radiator anymore to protect the TV

Have taken picture of the room from each corner – hight ceiling converted flat with big windows and sadly now with only a small radiator on, it is not as warm as when both radiator are in.

Initial thought is to get plumber to change that small radiator to a larger / thicker one to help to heat the room better.

Is that best approach? Any concern with that idea?

Thanks

Yes, the small radiator can be change for a larger one. Whether it would make a huge difference is debatable, you are missing the primary heat source in the larger rad.

The issue I think you have you have is trying to have so much stuff in what is quite a small room with limited wall space. I'd be looking to shuffling/removing stuff to provide enough wall space somewhere else to put another radiator in. The other alcove would be a candidate.

I suspect the TV should be fine with the radiator on, just more it away from it a few more inches. You might also consider arranging some sort of fan under the radiator, to help move its heat around the room - a fan heater, on cold setting, aimed to blow up through the radiator will make a very noticeable difference.
