heating not working - keep resetting boiler

Hi
i have a ferrolli f24 non condensing combi boiler, the heating works fine but as soon as you turn the hot water tap on it cuts out and stays off until you reset the boiler. the heating light flashes whilst this is happening, boiler is approx 5 years old
any suggestions...
