heating problem - tank

Hi

i have a old heating systems, with a tank in the first floor and loft, not exactly sure how does it work, the heating system has been working until I get the washing machine and dishwasher fixed but now it gives hot water to taps etc but does not send any hot water to radiators, any idea why it might happen ?

It seems, I have an open vented system, with two tanks in the loft and one cylinder in one of the room first floor, any quick response appriciated, thanks

If you have any valve(s) in your airing cupboard i would be looking at them. It sounds as though the motor has possibly gone in the valve. I think it is just a coincidence that you had just had the appliances fixed when the problem started.

there are two valved connected to the cylinder in the cubboard? do they need to be open ? is it what you mean?

I have simple red large valeves in the cyclinder area , wto of them, but they do not look like motorized, they are simplve valves abd not sure if they are working properly. the pipes arond the both valves seem to be cold water althorugh other pipes have hot
