My radiators stay on, regardless of where I set the thermostat in my hallway. This has just happened in the last few hours. It has been fine over the last 5 years or so.

Anybody got any ideas what the problem is?
Could the pump have locked on the open position?

HELP - I'm over heating, and so is my 5 week old baby![/b]

I've just turned down the thermosat on the boiler itself.
But this will take a while a guess!!!

It sounds like the thermostatic valve is sticking. This is basically a valve with a temperature senitive wax "switch" I imagine these can wear with time - not sure of the usual life span though. Have you tried opening and closing the valve several times - it may free it off. If all the other rads are OK then the fault is probably just the valve.
