Help! Distributing floor and return pipes under floor boards

Hello all

This is purely a thread out of interest. I have always wanted to know what the thing is called under the floor boards in my house that distributed flow and return pipes throughout the radiators. My combi boiler is located downstairs in the kitchen and the flow and return 22mm pipes run upstairs into like a distributing thing that then has several 10mm micro pipe flow and returns running to the rads. What is it/ would this be?

Sorry if this sounds like a completely ridiculous question but it has been bugging me for some time.

It's a manifold for distributing your flow and returns to the radiators in a smaller bore pipe
