Help - Hotpoint washing machine not spinning

Hi,

I have a Hotpoint WMS28 and during a wash today it stopped spinning. It is washing clothes and draining ok but does not spin.

Anyone help me in trying to fix it? I don't want to spend a couple of hundred pounds for no reason

Check the motor brushes first.
