Washing machine won't spin

Motor carbon brushes have likely worn down to a minimum level. When this happens you normally find that the machine will wash as normal, but will fail when trying to spin. If you buy the brushes and swap them out yourself (not massively difficult) your looking at £20 maximum. If a repair company do it they will likely charge for the brushes and an hours labour.
