Hi I have a hotpoint washing machine (3-4 years old) the machine washes clothes fine and is quiet when doing the washing/rinse cycles. Then when it does the spin cycle it make a hell of a noise, like a jet taking off?

Any ideas what this could be? is it fixable? is it difficult? or is it new machine time

Its an Aquarius machine BTW

How are you at working on the washing machine?
I take it that it didn't used to make this noise?
As a first I'd disconnect the belt and see if it makes the noise with just the motor on a spin cycle - if it does then probably the carbon brushes.

lose weight worn dampers disconnected /broken springs
coins or metal between inner and outer drums

i would say clear the filter

does it have suds visible on the glass on final spin or just water
