Help needed connecting brickslot to 4" claypipe

As you can from the picture I am attempting to connect some brickslot drainage to a 4" clay pipe. I plan to position the brickslot in front of some railway sleepers. The reason I putting a drain like this in is because I plan to flag an area which was previous part grass and flag.

As a complete DIY novice (but someone who wants to learn) I was hoping whether anyone could tell me the following:
1. Can I put the brickslot directly in front of the railway sleepers?
2. How to connect the brickslot to the 4" claypipe in the picture?
