I was wondering if anyone can help me out....
My husband and I have taken on a house in dire need of improvement so there's a few questions I want to ask, any help is appreciated..
Firstly, the dreaded woodchip! It's everywhere!!!
Does anyone have any idea how to get it off relatively easily? By easily, I mean a method that takes less than an hour to do a square foot of peeling lol (I should also mention that some of the woodchip has been glossed.) We tried a steamer on the wall and the plaster skim underneath blistered and fell off lol...
Secondly, we have a wet room that's supposed to be capable of getting completely wet but is only half tiled and the existing paint on the ceiling and the other half of the wall is peeling through the steam and the walls are damp underneath. I'm assured by the previous owners that the correct paint was used for the room it just hasn't worked as it should. Does anyone have any suggestions on what paint or product to use until such time as we can afford to tile it all?
Last but not least is the ceiling in the dining room. It looked in good condition and we thought no work was needed, just a lick of paint. However, when we started painting it, the existing paint layer began to peel off and now looks an horrendous patchy mess. is there any way to rectify this without a serious amount of money or effort being spent?
As I said before, any help is greatly appreciated, we're kinda new at this...thanks in advance.
*edit- I think I may have posted this in the wrong place...sorry!
