I have a acquired an old retro Austin suite wardrobe which is lovely but needs a bit of TLC.

It has some scratch marks on it (see pic) and some marks which have taken the veneer off. I'm not sure what wood it is, possibly teak with varnish over it.

What is the best way to remove the scratches and

restore this to its former glory?

The veneer looks like stained ash?

Not sure about the beading.

foxholes link will do well for light scratches, more than that and you are talking of stripping the finish and starting again (probably not practicle/possible unless it has a decent veneer thickness, which is doubtfull)
