Help No hot water Valliant 242E

Hi,

Can anybody help. I have a Valliant 242E Combi, the heating is working perfectly but there is no hot water, when I turn to heating and water the heating is fine but no hot water the water indicator light does not come on, again when I turn to just water the light does not come on, could it be the diverter valve? or possibly heat exchanger everything else is fine firing up no problem any help would be appreciated.
