Help. Painting uneven stripes on a wall

Hi. Me and my partner are moving into our new house this weekend. The decorators are in and my partner as decided she wants to put horizontal painted lines on the wall in the dining room / kitchen. It's all painted white with one wall a red orange colour.
She wants uneven lines going across the long wall but we don't no how to space them out. Do they want to look symetrical or just random
Can anyone help please

Symmetrical or random is surely down to personal preference.

Why don't you draw it and see what it looks like before stating on the wall.
It'll be easier to change on a piece of paper if you don't like it.
