hey people, just a question real quick. I am replacing my light swtich with a dimmer. It seems that the dimmer has a ground wire that my old light switch didn't have. I was wondering what can i do about that and also what would happen if you reversed the switch wires.

it should not matter which way round you connect the switch. as for the ground wire it should be connected to the small terminal in the metal back box.

I assume your new switch to be metal? it must be connected to a ground point, but to clarify that why not check out this as its an American version of this U.K based website
