Hi all

Please can someone help me replace a looped ceiling rose?

The wiring currently looks like this (ceiling rose image). I am replacing it with a new fitting which just has a LIVE and NEUTRAL

I spoke to my electrician who told me:
- all the reds in the middle go into a connector block
- the two with blue go into a blue connector block
- the one with brown goes into brown connector block

I have then taken a live feed from the brown connector block and a neutral feed from the blue connector block but it’s not working.

Any advice or help please would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
James

Re check all your connections, ensuring the copper wires are clamped in the terminal blocks, not the insulation. The white connector block has wires that are exposed ,and the blue one is hanging out. All the copper should be clamped ,and none showing outside the terminals.
Do you have any voltage testing instruments ?
Are all other lights on the circuit working ?

The way it is wired looks correct to me. You need a multimeter to fault find.

Hello all
Just wanted to say thanks for the replies.
It’s now working - there must have been a faulty connector block as I replaced them all and it came to life!
Thanks for the help
