Hi Guys,

Just need some advice. I'm fitting a new sink to my small bathroom.

My question is can I just run the sink waste pipe to the stack & drill & hole big enough to accommodate the pipe. Then just seal it with silicon or should cutting the waste stack & fitting a particular waste fitting to the stack.

Hope that makes sense & any help/ advice would be greatly appreciate.

Regards,

Andy :D

Correct method is to use a strap boss.

Cut hole in stack to suit the boss, then solvent weld the boss to the stack. Select correct boss adaptor to suit waste pipe size, connect pipe to boss. (Assuming stack is plastic!)
