Hi,

Recently moved house and working my way through a lot of small problems with the place.

The kitchen has an inbuilt fridge/freezer part no TKR6600 made by Technik, though I have also seen identical whirlpool appliances on the internet wit the same part number.

Problem is the fridge only gets cool, certainly not cold enough for milk to last more than 2 days.

The freezer gets cold, so if there is only one compressor it seems to work!

Any tips on diagnosing the fault?
Thanks

quick update,

yesterday I removed the thermostat/lamp assembly and left it operating with the thermostat probe in the fridge instead of located in its channel that runs into the back of the unit.

Now the fridge is operating at the correct temperature, from this I can assume one of two things. The thermostat is in need of replacement or there is an ice build up where the probe normally sits causing the thermostat to believe the fridge is colder than it really is.

Going to empty it this weekend and leaving off overnight, if this fixes the problem I can assume an ice build up. If this does not fix the problem I'll replace the thermostat.

Any thoughts on my logic?
