help washing stuck in machine

put quilt on to wash but half way through cycle it is stuck and i cant get it to work either by resetting or putting it on a spin to open the door dont know what to do

you are not supposed to put quilts into a domestic washing m/c

I once removed a carpet from one, thats carpet, not rug

it's probably pushing against the glass and causing the lock to be not quite latched properly. drain off any water by gravity through the drain hose and then give the front panel a thump near the lock and it may just open. had this with a recent hoover machine two weeks ago.
