help!!!!! Which Varnish????

Hi

I recently painted a toybox for my daughter. It's a white melamine chest which I treated with the appropriate undercoat and painted, I painted it in a couple of colours, both Matt. I would like to varnish it, then put a few stickers on it and make it more personal and then varnish again.

Can anyone tell me what varnish/lacquer I can use over normal house paint?

Id go for acrylic varnish.

Will this be ok to use over normal household paint though? It won't effect the paint in anyway?

Nope, should be fine...you could always try a test area firsr...but acrlic glaze or vanish is commonly used over these surfaces to protect em
