Morning all,

Sorry for posting such a pathetic question, but I have no idea.

What is the difference between Once and Twice on my Heating Control Panel? I understnad the basic 'it comes on Once or Twice', but don't know how to programe it? Can anyone help?[/quote]

Within the 24 hour period-----

Once = On (eg 8am) then Off (eg 10pm)

Twice= On (eg 8am) then Off(eg 9am) then On (eg 5pm) then Off(eg10pm)

Enables setting around the occupant's lefestyle and occupancy.
DDetailed instructions will be in the instruction leaflet or Google the time control model manufacturer on the web.

An other way of putting it is: in the "once" setting, the (off-time) of the first period is ignored so it stays on until the second (off-time).
Whatever times you have been chosen do not change; out of the four, the middle 2 are ignored if "once" is selected.

Thank you for that...as a moron, I find stuff like this confusing, however, now i understand. The model I have is a Potterton ep2002 and the times control the water too. Does that mean the water will remain on throughout the day also...I'm guessing that's a dumb question.

It should control the hot water and heating individually as chosen by you.
I don't know your model by heart, so am not a 100% sure, but most times do.
