The combined bath tap shower mixer I have is not giving me enough hot water when I use either the taps or the shower. The cold is supplied from the mains and the hot from a hot water tank. Is it possible to fit a pump to the current hot and cold pipes that run to the mixer or does it have to be fitted with its own supply ?

its possible to fit a shower pump to the hot water to increase the power, but dont fit a pump on to the mains suppy (cold) unless this is coming from the cold tank in the loft.

also make sure you have a min 150mm head instead of the normal 1m, this allows the flow switch to open when the supply is turned on :P

yes a single pump will be good, have you checked what the hot water pressure is running at without a pump?

yes go for the pump on that site that you showed me, its should near enough make the pressures equal.

Remember double check vales if the shower is of flexible hose (water regs)
