Hi

need some advice please. when using the hot water tap in the bath I have to turn the tap right down to a trickle to get the water hot. the tap in the bathroom sink is fine and can be turned on full and its still really hot.

I have a 3month old combi boiler which is a 28kw output and I live in a medium size 2 bed house so not a mansion!

have tried changing the washer in the tap but doesn't make any difference. someone has said might have wrong type of taps ie low pressure !/?

Any help would be appreciated

thanks

Flow and pressure are not the same thing. Is it just a standard HW tap?

Hi
it is a two hole mixer tap with a shower attachment. if it helps live in a really soft water area ! sink tap is about 2 foot away and is fast and hot if that helps

thanks

hi

to be honest im not changing the washer is about as far as I go!! the fact that the water comes out quicker as I turn the tap I thought means it is ok (excuse my ignorance)

someone has said that because I have a combi boiler the pressure would be high therefore I need high pressure taps??

Isolate hot to tap and see if flow stops, if not its a mixer fault.

Easiest way is under the boiler, what do you have? Failing that if an isolation valve is fitted on hot to tap. I haven't got a third eye so I cannot seeeeeee

hi

boiler is a biasi 28kw. if not I can turn the water off under the bath if that's what you mean ? if so what do I do after I have turned the water off
