Had an extension built last year and never used the new loft so i thought it was time to go up there and try and put some flooring down to store christmas decorations suitcases etc nothing to heavy
The joists in the loft are 70mm x 35mm
There are rolls of insulation down 4" thick doubled up to 8"
Would it be ok to remove half of the insulation put timber straps across the joists say 2"x1" to strengthen then place some flooring down, don't want to end up falling thro' the bedroom ceiling.
Also what would be the best and cheapest type to put down
Thanks in advance
