I have just fitted a new toilet, leaving the original waste pipe work in place, however on flushing the toilet, it is leaking slightly from the connection between the pan and the waste pipe.

Can anyone offer any advice i.e. should it be sealed with a particular product or should I just rely on the push fit that is there at present.

Thanks in advance :D

Are you sure it's leaking at the pan/waste connection? If it is then it sounds like the spigot isn't the right size for the pan connector (unlikely) or you have a mis alignment. I think more detail or a photo might help.

You shouldnt need any other sealant on this joint

Check it's not leaking from the flush pipe where it connects into the toilet pan, it can run onto the soil pipe.
