Cheers for replys (even the smart arse ones).
Whilst i would love to have give the boiler a full strip down and service and given the pcb a workout on a test rig and loom it was in fact Xmas day.
I think the fact that the heat and hot water was back was service enough given there were still presents waiting to be opened
Of course i could have changed the PCB for a new one along with 200 quid but as it was xmas a 4 pence component from Maplins seemed to be the seasonal way forward.
