can anyone see a problem in chiselling out room for 15mm piping into a single brick wall at 160mm?
 
You should allow a minimum of 25mm chase to allow for clips, insulation and finishing.

In my view, if chasing vertically, shouldn't be a problem, but if chasing horizontally you will weaken the wall.

If you want a definitive answer, ask a structural engineer.
