Hip to gable over two story extention?

Semidetached corner 1920s house with two garages on the side- the idea is to rebuild the garages with new foundation to create double story side Extention and stretch the roof space across with hip to gable end to accommodate massive loft conversion with the dormas to the rear of the property.

Has anyone seen hip to gable over a very large side Extention?
