Hi
I am finally going to fit soffit downlighters in my bungalow. Im thinking about either a sealed unit, & a dusk to dawn sensor, or was wondering if I could fit Hive GU10 bulbs & be able to control the lights from my phone. Is this a viable option?

The Hive Gu10 smart bulbs fit in most GU10 downlights, so should be ok.

I believe that the Hive app lets you configure actions including on/off at sunset/sunrise and other time schedules so a light sensor wouldn’t be needed if you use these lamps.

Ive seen a couple of comments on various websites that these are not rated for outside use in soffits, also as theyre outside the wifi signal might be a bit weak. Although I have a Hive outdoor camera which works fine. I just thought they would be an easier option than a dusk to dawn sensor, plus would give me better control of them
