Hello everyone, was wondering if anyone with the know how could help me.

I installed a HIVE system into a BAXI 38/3RS and I’m having a few problems.

I believe everything is wired up correctly (hive light comes on) pressing hot water/ central heating brings upon the lights etc. The main problem I’m having is the boiler itself isn’t firing up. Looks as though it’s getting no power.

The wiring job that came with the original programmer looked like quite the train wreck so it could be that I’ve wired it up completely wrong. Atttached is the original picture of the wiring. And what it’s currently looking like. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I’m confused by the original wiring, looks like live had two connections? Could this of mean powering the boiler?

What have you done with the yellow and brown wires that were in the terminal marked spare on the old clock?
I can't quite tell from your picture but it looks like you have put each one in a separate connector block. If I'm right then you need to join them together in a single connector block. This is most likely the switched feed to your boiler.

Tried that, boiler fires up! Not sure if the hive is communicating with the boiler tho.

Here is an original picture of the manual, do I need to do anything like this in the hives wiring?

I mean the way the live is connected to 3 junctions?
