Just looking for opinions on which way to run the ducting. In our new kitchen the hob is now in the middle of the room and taking joist direction into consideration the duct could go:
1. About 3m to the back of the house; but it would come out right over the the bi-fold doors; sounds not great if they are open and not great if we are sitting on the patio.
More efficient but probably more disruptive as the floor above is chipboard and it's a bedroom we use.
2. About 8m to the front of the house; chalet style at the front so it could vent up through the roof or downwards through the soffit.
Less efficient but probably less disruptive as the flooring is T&G and it would be under a spare bedroom.
Which would you do?
