Home CCTV, if fibre cable gets snipped...

Obviously it depends on the value of the assets that you are protecting, and the building fabric.
You could run metal conduit which is likely 95% tamper proof, unless they dig down.
But my internet comes from the catv flap in the pavement which a child could lift up.

Some cctv units upload to the cloud so until the cable is lost, that’s fine.
Some will switch to Wi-Fi cellular hubs if the main net goes down.

horses for courses.

the safe boxes for NVRs /DVRs vary.

I know customers that have them and some that don't, as for which is easier to get to well that varies, once they have found it they need to be able to steal it (quicker than just taking the drive out).

That requires either good luck or site knowledge, but a smoke cannon or similar in that area so they cant see., what they are doing?

What safe do you use? Does it affect the WiFi signal? How do you get the power cables into the safe?
I have a Haydon lockable Steel Safe Box, I have an Ethernet cable connection so don’t know how it affects the WiFi signal, all cables are fed into the rear of the safe box though rubber grommets.
It’s mounted on angle iron cantilever brackets with security bolts and fastened to the gable wall with rawlbolts.

For those not using wired cameras, crims can carry wifi jammers to stop any wifi cameras or other devices working.
But they are usually too dumb to know how to use anything more complicated than a vape . Camera can use a memory cards so are independent of WiFi . External cameras should be out of reach of burglars and backed up by internal cameras , ideally hidden .

You see a fair few after the fact footage to see how well equipped and or agile some are.

Seen things ripped off walls at some height, also that some do recon.
Seen some come through a roof and knock a hole in the wall to get to a building next door over a weekend.

Also seen a criminal look directly at a camera, seen them revisit, seen them get caught by the police due to changes made between visits in less than a week to the security systems, mainly how they work and report.

There is a lot to be said for having cameras use there notification capabilities to warn you of someone's presence especially at a time no one should be there. Even to have external pirs t do the same.

seen systems that were never fit for purpose. seen some have part of a system upgraded to save money and stop the problem they were suffering from.

Also seen potential new customers, think your recommendations are to make them part with hard earned cash, then go with inadequate systems and become victims. This is why when it comes to design you must consider what you want the system to be able to achieve and your budget.
Some have unrealistic expectations.

You can only do so much to protect a property, but design of the system is crucial, but you have to make the best of your budget.
