I bought 2 'Classico' Radiators from Homebase but had problems with the mounts. They clamp around the cylindrical shape of the radiator, but failed to hold it. The radiator would slide down the mounts while it was still unfilled. Upon tightening further the 'thread' (which was cut into the pressed steel clamp) stripped. I then replaced with my own nuts and bolts and just after finding the tightness to hold the unfilled radiator one of the clamps cracked.
The clamps were approx 1.5mm thick, but most of this was the powdercoating!

They both went back and I found that they stock a new model (although same part number) with much better clamps. They seem fine.

I've also had 3x TRV's (cheap ones) which have suddenly started leaking while the radiators are disconnected.

Anyone else had these problems?

Thats only to be expected!

Thats why I only fit good ones like Drayton TRV 4s.

You only get what you pay for.
