Homegrown terrorism by a muslim .

As usual gasbag has read the headline and thinks he knows what the article is all about. He's totally misrepresented the theme and tone of the article with his ridiculous thread heading.
The article is a criticism of Muslims, by a Muslim, who is suggesting that Muslim parents do not encourage the integration of their children.
The article suggests that this dislocation of Muslim children from both Muslim and western society causes a loss of direction for those children, leaving them open to radicalisation.
When mass killings are committed by white people, ..... we are quick to look for the psychological roots — what happened in the killers’ childhoods to make them believe indiscriminate slaughter was the answer?
When Islamist terrorist attacks happen, we don’t do this. Instead, we look for such external causes as preachers of hate. And I believe that we have been looking in the wrong direction.
Too many Muslim families in Britain and the rest of Europe isolate themselves from the out- side world. They deliberately turn their backs on it.
Inevitably they are drawn to both and end up feeling that they belong to neither. They are lost between these two worlds.
The article continues by highlighting that this dislocation experienced by Muslim children generates as much hostility to fellow Muslims as it does to western citizens.
Why else would the brothers Ibrahim and Khalid el- Bakraoui, who blew themselves up in the Brussels airport and Metro this week, feel life was not worth living and that their best course of action was to kill themselves and take as many innocent lives with them as they could?
I think the brothers’ motive was far more negative — they did not want to live. Life had offered them nothing, so they rejected it.
They must have hated their fellow Muslims especially, or at least the peaceable ones, because in the wake of their murderous actions it is Muslims across Europe who will pay as societies become more suspicious of them.
I recommend that thinking people read the article, not accept gasbag's ludicrous assumption of it.
