I recently purchased this mower new, and it is self propelled, but I find it goes too fast for me in my old age to walk behind. Does anyone know if this can be achieved ?. this is cordless mower, and I can not find on the internet any way of doing this, any ideas would be appreciated.

I looked into it for you.
The HRX476XB features a Smart Drive system with a speed control lever located on the handlebar. Simply move the lever toward the “slow” setting to reduce propulsion speed.

I would have thought that just engaged the drive not vary. the speed of anything. Ask your supplier if there is a retrofit kit for speed control
