I recently fitted a new Grundfos pump and stupidly connected the live to earth, tripping out the electrics and killing the Honeywell C.H. controller. The pump is now correctly wired, live neutral, earth and is now OK. I have fitted a new programmer but this seems to work in reverse i.e. on is off and off is on - creating problems! I have tried a further programmer with the same result, I have not altered or modified the wiring in any way. I also believe that the Honeywell 3 position diverter valve motor has burned out as I can only do hot water and central heating separately by manually setting the valve. How do I get the programmer to work correctly?

compare the wiring details for old and new timer, should be fairly simple to figure out

Are you sure you should be working on electrics if you don't know your earth from your live :?:

How are you manually setting the valve?
