Hi all,
NB I am a beginner when it comes to plumbing and central heating but am keen to have a go.
In my airing cupboard I have two Honeywell valves. I assume one for hot water and one for central heating. This assumption comes from the fact that when everything was working normally one would respond when i called for hot water and the other would respond when i called for heating (or both responded when i called for heating
).
Unfortunately now the heating is not working. I turned it on last week and it worked fine but after a couple of days nothing was happening. I investigated and noticed no response from the valve when calling for heating. After a google search i thought it may be the motor. I successfully replaced the motor and the heating worked again and i cashed in the brownie points with the mrs.
However, brownie point negativity was soon reached when the heating stopped again! i couldn't believe it.
Now I am really confused as to what the problem is. I am keen to try and resolve on my own. I am happy to try and replace the valve (draining system etc) but was wondering if any of you who are experienced have any ideas/tips etc. that may help me out.
Really appreciate any guidance.
Regards
Talbot
