ok, i have an Ideal Classic NF80 boiler that i need to replace the diverter valve on, its 22mm and marked up as v4044c1585

now as far as i can see there is little or no difference between this and the regular V4073A mid position valve, other than the fact that the 4073A has the ability to control the boiler/pump from internal switching, which the 4044C does not.

But as i ddon't need that switching ability anyway, is there anything to stop me using a regular (easily available) 4073A and simply not connecting the switching wiring ?

Does anyone know of any other differences, having a little trouble finding much info on the 4044C - probably discontinued or something

cheers

i got it, the 4044c is only a 2 position valve as opposed to the 3 position of the 4073, life's never simple is it !

it was the 1585 part of the number that was throwing off my searches
