Honeywell Room Unit loses settings

Hi, we have a Honeywell SmartFit Y 4600 system with a T8677A1008 7 day room service which loses its settings if power is lost for more than a few seconds. The room unit looks like this:

According to the instructions we have and the Honeywell website http://europe.hbc.honeywell.com/historic_products/2004_2/docs/smartfit1.html the unit has a battery backup and should retain its settings for 12 hours.

There's no obvious battery inside the room unit or in the control unit in the airing cupboard. Anyone have any ideas? Fed up of re-entering the settings!

If its out of gaurantee buy a new one

It is probably a soldered in battery which cannot be replaced - ask Honeywell!
