This timer runs both the hot water and central heating. After using the heating and hot water one night - and then turning the heating switch back to off - it now puts the heating on every time the hot water only should be on.

Does anyone think this is a fault of the timer or could it be the valve?
Also, had a look and it says this timer is now obsolete and is replaced by another Honeywell equivalent - so will this just plug into the same back plate without rewiring?

If anyone could help etc etc - Thanks
