Hi there

Like many others, boiler packed up overnight due to completely frozen 32mm condensate pipe.

Cleared this eventually but was unable to get boiler back on, despite programmer and stat indicating it was calling for the boiler to be on.

Got an emergency plumber in and he said it was a fault on a PCB on the Honeywell wiring box. He said he couldn’t get or fit the part today and that he would have to return on Monday.

Looking at the pictures of the box, I cannot see any evidence of the existence of a PCB.

Can someone with any knowledge confirm or otherwise. I see that there is a fuse in the bottom right hand corner of the unit. I’m assuming that this was checked but cannot guarantee it.

Apologies but I could not take a photo of the intervals of the wiring box as the plumber had already put the cover back.

Is it Y plan or S plan ?
Show pics of valves / pipes around the hot water cylinder.
And if you can remove the cover off the wiring centre ,and pic of that also. ( Turn electric supply off first at the isolator)

By the way the whole thing inside the wiring centre is a type of PCB.

You are asking questions beyond the level of knowledge and cannot currently access the airing cupboard as my fighter is asleep in the room.

However, I guess my basic question is to whether there is any circuitry on the wiring box that could ‘blow’ as I always thought that these sorts of boxes were simple junction boxes.
