Hoover Aristocat 1000 spin trouble

Hi we have a Hoover Aristocat 1000 which washes and goes through the whole cycle perfectly until it comes to fast spin at the end of the wash . At this point the motor gets up to speed and then stops spinning this happens several times and then it comes to the end of the cycle leaving the wash soaking . It seems as though the motor which seems to be working perfectly cuts out prematurely . Any advice would be great (I'm sick of handwashing already ) .Cheers Scott

If you run the machine empty does the same thing happen?
You may have a balance issue!
It sounds as if the machine is getting an error message via the tacho pick up coil. When this happens the machine will try a few times and then abort the action.

Hi thanks for your help yes it does happen when its empty .
