Hoover HDV7 Tumble Drier - not drying any more

Hi - as the title says, our HDV7 has stopped drying clothes. It seems to tumble fine, timer OK etc..

For a while, there was an intermittent fault where it sometimes would sometimes wouldn't dry the clothes.

It now seems to just not!!

Any ideas for a fix

I've tried to get as much of the fluff out from both the back (where the pipe connects to) and just inside the door, where there is a plastic gauze basket type collector.

Is there likely to be a blockage somewhere - I'm happy to take it apart to get into the guts, but didn't want to if there was a likely problem in terms of a faulty part etc...

Is this more likely that a faulty heating element, or potentially thermostat, which I would assume controls the level of heat output from the element.

Also, is there a simple way to check the element etc... before going to the hassle of changing parts. (assuming it's not simply a blockage)

IF its hot the heater works..but if its blocked with fluff it wont work
