Washes well but there is a water seepage from the bottom of machine .Seems near the middle to front end. Any ideas about cause please before I attempt to dismantle ?

problem with a leak is water runs along then falls at lowest point so leak may not be where you think
 
On these machines you are liable to get leaks from the drain pump or the thermostat grommets. The alloy backplate of the outer drum corrodes with age and this corrosion can occur on the edges of the holes for the thermostats. Your best bet is to remove the back, set the machine for a rinse & spin and observe where the leak appears.

Just to report back that I seem to have cured the leak by reducing the mains water pressure by not opening the gate valve so much. I looked for leaks as suggested but couldnt locate any. I converted the machine to cold feed a while ago with a y piece.It all seems fine now. Thanks for help.
