I need to change a diverter valve on a Vaillant plus 828e do i have to drain the system or can i just take old valve off and refit with new one if somebody could advise me this would realy help me

isolation valves under boiler req turning off

Drain boiler down unless your very keen / brave / stupid

I did not think of turnining valves off it does make sence now you've told me / how do i drain boiler

Usually you'll find a drain off on the isolation valve

no offense soadsud but if you can't isolate and drain a boiler god help you trying to change the diverter................
