horrible horrible artex

heres hopeing roy haha bin a long time now scince i last artexd. think i may need some new tools some of mine are fooked know any good websites to get some off??

i did suggest that to them but they dnt realy want to go down this route theres coving involved aswell so if i tear it down they need to recove and redecorate the whole room which they have just paid out for.
it can be rescued the patch is only like just under a meter square but it sticks out like a sore thumb this is why i was thinking lay on the artex with a trowl sos to give it a bit of body and then stipple it up.
itll be a bit tenuous but im sure i can achieve a nice finish for them.
john dnt dash my hopes haha
jr ive seen this exact patch done what you do is lay it on with brush or trowel you let that pick up then you put another coat on and stipple the second coat if you dont put the first coat on you will see the lines, i watched someone do it it blended in with the rest perfectly EDIT he over lapped by 6 ins or so as well

nice one steve thanks mate hows the kitchen goin.
i ripped all the units out on one side yesterday ready for the sparky had a look at the floor under them most is concrete but you can see some cement screed in places its well uneven who ever done this floor originally must have been a right monkey i've been dreading starting this i've been delaying it for ages and its been holding up everything else because the sparky has to get to the floorboards upstairs so i cant lay the floor up there till hes done , i made the mistake of laying the floor in another bedroom and theres electrics to sort out underneath so i've got to punch some holes in my ceiling so he can thread the wires through the joist, not bothered about that though just means a bit of patching as im gonna reskim anyway
if i get this kitchen out of the way the back will be broken not much to do after that, then in 4 years time im selling the house, i've got to stay here for 5 years because i bought it off the council if i sell b4 then ill loose my discount, ill show some pics later of what the kitchen should look like once finished and what it looks like now an will show pics of job as it goes

good luck mate hope it all goes well for ya. itll be good to see the pics
cheers m8 heres what it should look like but ive changed suppliers and have now got a square corner instead of an angled one where u see the door that leads out to a porch and toilet that has been brought inside and its a right mess, ill show u pics of that later once ive cleared everything even thinking of doing a video diary, from start to finish that may be a first on here View media item 31152 View media item 31153
