hot boiler and hot pump

The british gas engineer said the very hot casing to the boiler is fine and so is the very very hot pump. The boiler casing is so hot the fridge magnets have melted and slid off the casing.
I think the pump is the problem, this problem only started 1 month ago and the boiler has been fine for 7 years
