my hot cylinder does not heat up well.
There is a TRV on it which has a copper wire [I presume a temp sensor]
Can these become faulty?
How can I check if there is air in my hot cylinder?

in answer to your questions
1 yes the trv can be faulty.
2 is there any reason air should have built up in the cylinder coil.
has it happened before.

If you can give the guys on here more info on when and how long ago the fault occured; what type of system you have etc.

then the answers we can give you may be more helpful

please do not take offence to this post, we really want to help.

Best regards brian

no offence taken my friend

The system is less than 3 years old.
No evidence of air in cylinder but as not heating up as hot as radiators I suspected air in tank.

Type of system= OFCH a Winchester boiler I think I am at work but can revert with the spec tomorrow.

One of the radiators as back of house is less warm as well. I suspected a pump difficulty in that the boiler and pump is out atback of garage some 20-30 feet from house then the house has 15-16 radiators to go around. Could this cause the lack of hot hot water as well. Should the water gofrom boiler to cylider first?
The pump is a green one and spec can come tomorrow as well.
What is the effect of putting a pump on the out going water as well?
